Every Kid Healthy™ Week: April 19-25, 2015

Every Kid Healthy™ Week is an annual observance created to celebrate school health and wellness achievements and recognized on the calendar of National Health Observances. Observed the last week of April each year, this special week shines a spotlight on the great efforts our school partners are doing to improve the health and wellness of their students and the link between nutrition, physical activity and learning – because healthy kids learn better! Everyone in the country can get involved and be a part of the celebration to help support sound nutrition, regular physical activity and health-promoting programs in schools.

Submit a video of your Every Kid Healthy Week event for a chance to win a $500 mini-grant for your school. View the guidelines for shooting videos and upload them by May 31, 2015. If you’d like to share a photo (not eligible for the raffle), please send it along with a brief description to your AFHK State Coordinator.

If your school is participating in Every Kid Healthy Week, you can find all the resources you need here, whether you are looking for event ideas or want to spread the word to your community and recruit volunteers. Every Kid Healthy Week Resources
